I made this desert and effects in Unity for the last part in a three part experience. The other two parts where made by Sabine Krüsmann (instagram.com/sabine_edina/) and Osvaldo Correa (instagram.com/oscorrea23/).
What did I make?
I used a existing asset of a rock, copy pasting it into the environment you see.
The small buildings with doors are made by me in blender.
The desert that is stretched into the distance is also a existing asset.
The shader that did the dissolving is made by me in the Unity Shader Graph.
